About Rachel: Freelance Writer in New York

Rachel McCain is a freelance writer, editor, and educator based in New York. She earned her MFA from Sarah Lawrence College.

Her writing has been featured in notable national publications such as The Source Magazine, Complex, Ploughshares, and GRAMMY.com.

As an experienced editor, Rachel specializes in providing services that focus on nonfiction. She has previously held the position of deputy editor at a small media organization in New York.

Throughout her career, Rachel has also taught an array of undergraduate courses as well as classes for students from PK-12th grade. Currently, she works as a high school ELA teacher.
